As part of the Sky Sports+ launch, NOW members will also be able to pause and rewind live sports content for the first time. From August, this will also include every single live Sky Sports+ stream and on demand catch-up content. Integrated into Sky TV, streaming service NOW, and a revamped Sky Sports mobile app, Sky Sports+ will make it easier for fans to browse, discover and watch the sport they love.

Just turned over to Sky News at 1701 and no pin required so I think @oldfella was spot on. Did this answer not help you? Any ideas how I remove Pin protection from this channel please? I am marking this as an answer for now until we have any update.

What is Sky Sports+?

It is frustrating and stopping my enjoyment as I channel hop Crazy to have Pin protection on a news channel! I have the same issue so I guess it is not our equipment it is sky. Samsung TV, same issue with only the Sky News channel and it is still not fixed.

It would seem that it is not our individual systems at fault, but a Samsung/Sky News issue. I’ve just checked the Samsung TV+ stream of Sky News on my Samsung TV and it’s the same – no audio whatsoever. Sorry, you can’t reply to this discussion as it’s been locked by our Community Managers.

We are aware of this issue and support teams are currently looking at it. @IanW12  please see post marked as answer. Therefore it must be a Samsung/Sky issue I have the same issue and happened at same time . I messaged Samsung help through their Community channel and they didn’t really understand.

On average, new discussions are replied to by our users within 90 minutes I only have broadband – had a sky package ages ago so sky staff or the website couldn’t  help either !! Now it’s happening again on Sky news it is happening every time I go back to it. I’ve had this problem before and rang Sky – they told me to turn of the sky Q box and it did the trick. The program in question was related to current events in the Middle East and was rated 12 hence the pin requirement But weird for a general प्रभु ३६५ news chanel!

I suspect he has resigned because of Sky’s daft move out of the City and is serving a “gardening leave” or NDA period during which he cannot say what is happening. It seems like a lot of broadcasters who have HD channels use a HD to SD version for the SD version, so it feels like a better version of SD than traditional SD. I certainly do feel more cozy at home with the Christmas music/movie channels on in the background, especially while bringing down the Christmas tree…… Roll on to the changeover the Christmas music channels on Sky too… Should change it to a “Sky Christmas” FAST channel, showing all Christmas content from the full range of channels from Sky.
